After the visit to kiosk, my group decided to have a discussion for the following week’s presentation. We’re the A1 group; hence, our job scope is to propose improvements for website. Therefore, we distribute our tasks and ensure that everyone has their own responsibility on this work. While the job was being carry out, there were some technical issue. This is because most of us were not familiar with the editing functions of this website. However, we were still able to get it done as we seek for help from our friends that have better editing skills than us. Besides, we also seek for advice on the design of this website from our friends to ensure that it is interesting, attractive, and knowledgeable enough for the people before we presented it to the VIPs of RCDMM.

As you can see below, this was the website that we created. It was being categorized into five important parts, which are About RC Deaf Missions, Career Opportunities, Sign Language Courses, Community Events and Contact Us. In addition, there are still subpages under all this important pages. The website we created were much colourful compared with the previous RCDMM website. After one week of editing works, we had finally done our website and ready to show to the VIPs on the coming Saturday’s presentation.

After all this hard works, I felt that it’s not east to create a website, especially an interesting website. A lot of research need to be done before works started. Not only that, teamwork is very important in this case too. Without a good communication between members, there will not be any production can be produced. Even though there are misunderstanding message being passed on, everything still goes smoothly. This is because our leader, Edison Chua; able to settle all the problems in a very good way. Besides, every member was also able to finish their task before the dateline too, which was really impressive.

After finish editing the website, Edison Chua and Chong Wang would need to study the website that we created again. This is because they are going to present to the VIPs during the presentation. This action is to ensure that they could explain all the points and changes we’ve made to the website.

Type: Presentation

After a week of preparation, and here comes the presentation. The presentation held in Lecture Theatre 9 and started at 10am. Hence, all the students would need to reach at 9.45am compulsorily. There are ten groups of students that need to carry out the presentation.

As we’re the A1 group, we are the first group to present in front of the VIPs from RCDMM. From my own perspective, I think that our presentation can be rate at a scale of average. This is because our presentation was not that impressive based on the reaction given by VIPs. However, I’m feeling grateful to have our presenters, Edison Chua (Group Leader) and Chong Wang, as both of their presentation skills are much better than the other members in our group. Besides, the comments and reviews that given by the VIPs were still quite positive as well.

Then, the flow continues with other groups after our presentation. As a comparison with other groups, I feel that they were doing such a great job. The way they presented were really interesting and impressive. Hence, the comments they receive were much better than average. When the presentation comes to an end, the prize-giving section is being carried out.

From my own perspective, I think that there’s so much we could learn from the other groups’ presentation. There are a lot of knowledge and skills that we could get from others, such as communication skills, tidiness of presenting, and way of speaking. It was really a great time to have the opportunities to look and listen to their presentation.
